Shedd Aquarium

Aaron and I took the girls to Chicago this past weekend. We had planned on taking the train but with the schedule it didn't really work out so we drove. Which was no big deal, chastity was a little disappointed but like I told her there's always another time. Which we plan on doing cause we didn't get to take them to Navy Pier because it was very cool and raining.
So we just hung around the hotel Friday night. And order some great deep dish pizza.
Then on Saturday we took the girls to the aquarium. Which none of us had been before. We had a blast and loved every minute of it. We went to our first 4D movie. Which was very cool, it snowed, blew bubbles, wind blew and your seats moved, vibrated, and also poke you.

Chastity is FIVE!!!

Alyssa and I woke up early to get Birthday Pancakes made for Chastity. Something that I have done for girls ever since they turned one. Then Alyssa went down and woke Chastity up all so sweet and nice. We sang to her, she blew her candle out and then she look at me and said "Mommy am I really five?" I looked at her and said "you sure are". As you can tell from the pictures she has CRAZY hair when she wakes up in the morning.
We then did a Hacienda Dinner. Kept it small since we all got together over Memorial Day weekend. These hacienda party's are something that my girls look forward to. With the chips and ranch, the hat, the singing, and the cake. Chastity has been talking about it since Alyssa's party.
It's hard to believe that five years ago she was so little and tiny. And now she's so big and she thinks she's all grown up.

Dinner and Carriage Ride

On Friday we went to dinner at the Essenhaus. And when we first got there the girls saw the horse and carriage. So I told them if they were good at dinner we'd go on a ride.  Well of course they were good, so we got to go on a ride. They loved every minute of it. They even got to sit in the front with Rudy our driver and also they got to driver for awhile. It was on the grounds of the Essenhaus but it was very peaceful. After the ride the girls visited with the horse and even tried to eat their hair. Neither of them wanted to leave and are still talking about it.

Dairy Farm

One of the big things in Milford is Beer's Dairy Farm. Alyssa and her class got to take a feild trip there. And she LOVED it!!!
They have over 700 cows and milk 24 hours a day. We got see them milk the cows, feed the cows, feed the baby calfs by bottle, hold puppies, and eat home made ice cream.
I hang out at the farm a lot when I was younger. We lived right down the road and I was good friends with thier daughter. The farm has gorwn a lot since then. And I hadnt been there in a long time. So it was fun to go back.

Kindergarten Graudation

Alyssa graduated from Kindergarten on Friday. The program was way cute!!!! They sang their favorite songs from music class. And then we had cake and punch. It was short, simple and cute. I still can't believe that I have a first grader.  Alyssa has grown so much from the beginning of the year. And her teacher has been a big part of that. She has work with her to help her grown into this little lady. Thanks again for all that you have done Mrs. Andrew.

Getting Together

We had our first family cook out on Sunday at my sister Heather's. And the weather was prefect!!!
We also celebrated Chastity's 5th Birthday. Yup that's right she's gonna be Five in about Three days. Holy cats where has the time gone?
Heather, Kim, Mom, and I went through all of Alison's pictures that she has saved over the years. There is A LOT of them. It was wonderful to look back on all the fun times we had together. I have got in touch with most of you that will be receiving some of those pictures.
Heather has the cutest little belly. She looks wonderful for only having 2 more months to go. I can't wait to meet this little girl.
We also hang out most of the day Monday. Ate left overs and let the girls play in the sprinkler.Chastity and Odet have a wonderful bond.
It was a perfect way to spend Alison's 30th Birthday!!

Pre K Graduation

Chastity had Pre K graduation on Friday night. It was very bittersweet for me. We have been there now for 4 years and have grown very close with the teachers. It was also hard cause my little girl is not so little anymore.
The kids did a little program for us and then was followed by cookies and punch.
Chastity is excited that she now is a KINDERGRANDER!!! But she was also sad that she is no longer going to school and would not be seeing her friends all the time.

Prayers Please

I ask that you all say a prayer today for my good friend Teddy and his family. He's brother and nieces were killed yesterday while riding their bikes. I was with Teddy when he got the call and it's something I won't ever forget. The look on his face, the tone in his voice.
Some of you may have read the article in the Goshen News. What it didn't say is that his wife was also there when this happened. And she also is pregnant and due in two week.
Im at a loss of words, but my heart is in pain for this family.

Mother's Day Tea

Last Saturday was Chastity Mothers Day Tea Program at her school. They always put on such cute shows. And this year they were all dress up like pirates. Then after the program we go down for a lunch and also get to look over how much they have grown and changed since September. Which is one of my favorite parts. She has grown from a toddler into a little lady. And has learned so much this year.

Cat in the Hat

Cat in the hat was at the libary on Friday night. So I took Chastity and Adam (friend of hers). Chastity had been talking about it all day long. Was the first thing she asked me about in the morning. But once we got there. She wanted nothing to do with him. She hid behind me the whole time, but Adam was all about him.
They also had a big fake log that they kids could crawl through with flashlights. And they could look for all the animals and insects that were hidding.

Sinus Surgery And Ades Removed

Alyssa had sinus surgery on Wednesday. She has had a sinus infection since December and has been on meds since then also. With it never getting better we decided it was the best choice to make.
Everything went well, we were in recovery for a long time. Because she ended up getting sick a few times. But once she got an anti nausea med she was just fine.
Once it was time to leave Chad and I she got a little emotional which then made me get emotional also. But once in recovery all she said was "NO" to everything except that she wanted to go home. She was very out of it. I'm very proud of her and the way she has handle all of it.
She even ate two bowls of mac and cheese once we got home. Which made me very happy!! Took a long nap and only woke up twice last night.
She has to wear gauze over her nose for the next three to five days with the draining. And no running or playing hard for the next two weeks. So far this hasn't been hard to control but has the days go on I know that it will be.
She had a slight fever for three days and Friday hit 101.2 which was scary but with meds and more fluid intake we got it under control.  Shes not eating like she should but at least is drinking.
For the past two night shes been having night terrors again. Which is something we have dealt with for over three years. But they have been pretty bad last night and tonight. Which means a long time for the both of us. I'm praying that she will be able to return to school tomorrow.
